Welcome! I, as you may have guessed, am Maggs. You may
have seen me out vending at the Dane County Farmer's Market in Madison,
WI on Saturdays, or down on Library Mall, or at one of several
Renaissance Faires in the area. I also teach wire-wrapping classes at
The Vinery stained glass store
as part of their advanced fused glass pendant class. I make all of my own jewelry. I started making beaded jewelry in 1998, then progressed to fused glass and, more recently, lampworked beads. This website is not a e-commerce site, it is more a showcase of the types of jewelry that I make. If you are interested in any custom orders, please feel free to contact me. If you saw an item when I was out vending, and didn't buy it then, but you are interested in it now, just drop me a line, describe it as best as you are able, and I'll post a picture of what I think you're interested in, and let you know what the cost is. Yes, I will make custom beads or do custom fusing, but I will put my own spin on any design. Making jewelry is a very creative process for me, so any custom order will be my interpretation of what you want. It might not be exactly what you pictured in your head, but if you don't like it, you're not required to buy it. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me.. I may only update my website sporadically, but I do check my email pretty much every day. To see the new stuff I've been working on, please check my Fresh from the Kiln page, which I try to update at least a little more frequently than I manage with the rest of my website. |

Well, we're now three weeks into the Wisconsin Renaissance Faire up in Chippewa Falls, and we've taken just tons and tons of pictures! Only two more weekends are left, so if you're planning to come, please do. We're having a lot of fun, the weather's been grand, there's a zillion more buildings than there were last year, and all-in-all, it's shaping up to be a fantastically fabulous faire! I'm the first artist inside the gates (#1 on the map, in fact), to the right as you step through the gate. Lots of new things this year, which of course all need to be photographed and posted. I have lampworked dragon claws, chainmail belts (or custom dog collars, just ask) made by my husband Chris, who has the patience to wind, cut, and assemble all the little links. I can put 2mm beads onto a .014mm beading wire all day long, but I don't have the patience to do chainmail. Drives me batty. Takes all kinds, I suppose. Anyhoo, I'm in the middle of making rum truffles to take to the faire, so please explore my website, and if you want, drop me a line and nag me to post more pictures of my shinies! I'd much rather play with molten glass (or molten chocolate) than do any HTML code, so if you email me and remind me that yes, people would like to get useful information from my website, I'm much more likely to spend time working on updates for you instead of just spending all of my time 'playing glass'.
